Castillos a visitar en el Aberdeenshire

Desde antes de mudarnos a Escocia tenia una cosa muy clara, quería visitar todos los castillos posibles de este lindo país. Una de las primeras cosas que hicimos fue abonarnos al National Trust for Scotland, el cual tiene tiene una red de castillos por todo Escocia increíble. Desde un punto económico nos salía mucho mejor abonarnos ya que rápidamente iríamos a pagar nuestra inversion con todas nuestras visitas a los castillos. Hay otros castillos que pertenecen a otra red que también valen la pena visitar. De acuerdo a www.VisitScotland.com en el condado de Aberdeen (Aberdeenshire), hay más castillos por kilometro cuadrado que en cualquier otro lugar del Reino Unido. ¡Acá les comparto mis top 5! 1. Castillo de Dunnottar Sin duda este tiene que ser el primero en la lista, este castillo es uno de los más impresionantes de toda Escocia. Queda ubicado 3 kilómetros al sur de la ciudad costera de Stonehaven. En realidad lo que queda del castillo son ruinas, pero su posición justo sobre el acantilado, le da un dramatismo único. Cosas que ver y hacer en Pamplona Have you visited Pamplona, capital of the kingdom of Navarra? or well, now the region of Navarra. Most of us have heard about the famous running of the bulls or San Fermín Festival, but this beautiful city has a lot more to offer than bulls and partying. So, any time is a good time to visit Pamplona (especially during warm weather). If you’re making a trip through Spain I advise you to take a minimum of 2 whole days for Pamplona. We made the trip from the southwest of France by car which is relatively close as well. Unfortunately our trip to Shanghai was very short, we were there for only 3 days taking advantage of the fact that we had some friends that lived there. Our final destination was actually Vietnam. To travel to China most people need a visa (Colombians, French, Americans , etc.) however you can do transit through the country for a total of 144 hours. So luckily we didn’t have to deal with that! But you do have to get a special permit upon arrival, showing you’re there for the less than the hours permitted.

Anyone said bachelorette party? Last march one of my best friends got married, and to celebrate we decided to go to the “Sin City,” Las Vegas, Nevada. Nine girls ready to enjoy a weekend in one of the party capitals of the world. So we packed our bags for a long weekend trip and got on that plane! Like good Colombians, we made sure that this trip paid off in fun and money. We stayed at The venetian hotel, where we reserved 2 rooms for the 9 of us and were lucky enough to have them be conjoined rooms. The rooms were super big, we could have easily fit 3 more people in each!

Viaje a Bali de 2 Semanas [Indonesia]

Si vas a visitar a Bali, dos semanas, te da el tiempo suficiente para disfrutar y recorrer la bella isla. Claro que podrías visitar a Bali solo una semana y después ir a otro lugar en Asia, pero se estarán perdiendo de cosas muy lindas. La mejor manera de recorrer la isla es contratando a un chofer. Puedes encontrar a uno en el hotel, restaurante, el mercado…en cualquier lado, alguien conocerá a alguien que te pueda llevar a donde tu quieras. Este itinerario incluye toda la isla (incluyendo la pequeña isla de Gili Trawangan) con la excepción de el lado oeste de la isla. Acá abajo les dejo un mapa de nuestro itinerario para que lo sigan: sigan la linea azul al igual que el alfiler rojo en la derecha (Gili Trawangan).

Trekking Mt.Batur [Trekking el Monte Batur]

Climbing to the top of Mount Batur was without a doubt one of my favorite things about the trip to Bali, and maybe even one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. If you go to Bali and don’t climb to the top, you’re missing out on an incredible experience. It’s like going to Chicago and not eating deep dish pizza, or going to Paris and not visiting the Eiffel tower,… or going to Medellín and not eating arepa con quesito. Well… you get the point.
