Itinerario de la North Coast 500

A finales de julio/principios de agosto de 2020, tuvimos la oportunidad de hacer un viaje por carretera por Escocia y hacer el muy conocido circuito (itinerario) de la North Coast 500 (la Costa Norte 500). Su nombre se debe a que esta ruta que pasa por toda la costa norte de Escocia, iniciando en Inverness, cuenta con 500 millas (unos 830 kilómetros). La North Coast 500 esta hecha para que comience en Inverness y dé la vuelta por Applecross, subiendo por Gairloch, Ullapool, Durness, Thurso, John O’ Groats, Wick, Dornoch y terminando de nuevo en Inverness. Sin embargo, nosotros decidimos hacer la ruta North Coast 500 al revés, empezando por Dornoch y terminando por Applecross. Esta ruta cuenta con una página oficial (https://www.northcoast500.com/), en la cual podemos encontrar más información e incluso comprar una guía de esta. En nuestro itinerario de la North Coast 500, nosotros decidimos agregarle algunas paradas más que no se encuentran en el itinerario “oficial”. Lo Mejor del 2017 1.¡Aprendi a esquiar! – I learned how to ski! Desde que llegue a Francia estuve con la intención de aprender a esquiar, pero apenas fue hasta a principios de este año que me puse juiciosa. No soy una experta, pero… no lo hago mal y bajo fácil las pistas azules. Para mi fue todo un reto porque pienso que aprender a esquiar de adulto es mas dificil. Cosas que ver y hacer en Pamplona Have you visited Pamplona, capital of the kingdom of Navarra? or well, now the region of Navarra. Most of us have heard about the famous running of the bulls or San Fermín Festival, but this beautiful city has a lot more to offer than bulls and partying. So, any time is a good time to visit Pamplona (especially during warm weather). If you’re making a trip through Spain I advise you to take a minimum of 2 whole days for Pamplona. We made the trip from the southwest of France by car which is relatively close as well. [ Me mudo a Escocia] Here we are again, in another city, another country, not knowing anyone, and with a lot of challenges ahead. A couple of months ago, my boyfriend’s company announced to us that this summer we were moving to Aberdeen, Scotland. I could lie to you, and tell you that by now I’m getting used to moving countries, but the truth is, you never get used to this sort of changes. Two weeks ago, it was my boyfriend’s birthday. Since in France that Thursday was a holiday, we decided to take a trip over the long weekend. Our destination: Valencia, España! Being in the South of France, Spain is very close and it’s a very economical destination. To be honest, I knew very little about Valencia other than… oranges! However, I came upon a big city with the heart of a small town, where history and traditions live with innovation and globalization.
