Sin City, Vegas [La Ciudad del Pecado, Las Vegas]

Anyone said bachelorette party? Last march one of my best friends got married, and to celebrate we decided to go to the “Sin City,” Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nine girls ready to enjoy a weekend in one of the party capitals of the world. So we packed our bags for a long weekend trip and got on that plane! Like good Colombians, we made sure that this trip paid off in fun and money. We stayed at The venetian hotel, where we reserved 2 rooms for the 9 of us and were lucky enough to have them be conjoined rooms. The rooms were super big, we could have easily fit 3 more people in each!

What was our goal for the weekend? Eat delicious food, party, watch a vegas show, and accomplish the scavenger hunt we had prepared for the bride. Before going out on Friday night we set up in one of the rooms a surprised Photo Booth, and did what we girls love to do the most…take a million pictures! We later went to the club Hakassan, where we were able to reserve a table through a friend of a friend, with a bottle of vodka included (fancy I know)! However I must make a confession…we had to chug the bottle since the Jabbawockeez decided to come to the club not too long after we arrived and well, they took our table! The next day was the vegas show, and we chose: “Thunder from Down Under” (needless to say very appropriate for the occasion), a group of sexy Australian dancers. To be honest, we were all a bit nervous since we didn’t know what to expect and half of us were covering our eyes for the show (disclaimer: No nudity).

Among the restaurants we went to eat at were: TAO Asian Bistro, I Love Burgers, Mon Ami Gabi, Hakkasan, HEXX Kitchen & Bar among others, they were all delicious but some were pretty pricey, they costed a leg and an arm…and half the other leg.

The highlight of the trip was the scavenger. On the list there were 23 items that the bride had to accomplish with our help. These included: playing on the slot machines, a picture with the Eiffel tower, picture with an M&M, and finding a guy with the same name as the groom, and many others which are better not to name!

This was without question an incredible and unforgettable weekend, specially for the bride. Vegas definitely needs to be repeated soon, but maybe next time in the summer so we can enjoy the famous pool parties. Don’t forget, with a bit of creativity and cleverness you can celebrate anything. The important thing is to be with your friends and ENJOY the moment.

¿Alguien dijo despedida de soltera? El pasado marzo, una de mis mejore amigas se casó. Y para celebrarle la despedida de soltera decidimos irnos a la “ciudad del pecado”, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nueve chicas listas para disfrutar de un fin de semana inolvidable en la capital de la rumba. Así que empacamos nuestras maletas para un fin de semana largo ¡y nos montamos a ese avión!. Como buenas colombianas, nos aseguramos de que el viaje nos rindiera en plata y diversion. Nos hospedamos en el hotel,The Venetian, reservamos dos cuartos para las 9. Por fortuna nos tocaron cuartos conectados; y eran inmensos, hubiéramos podido meter a 3 personas mas fácilmente!

¿Cual fue nuestra meta ese finde? comer rico, rumbear, ir a un espectáculo, y cumplir con el scavanger hunt (o búsqueda de tesoro) que le hicimos a la novia. Antes de salir esa noche el viernes, organizamos un tipo de “cabina de fotos” sorpresa, e hicimos lo que mas disfrutamos las chicas…¡tomarnos miles de fotos! La rumba fue en la discoteca Hakassan, pudimos reservas un mesa gracias a una amiga de una amiga con botella de vodka incluida (¡que elegancia!). Aunque tuvimos un inconveniente y nos toco bogarnos la botella de vodka porque los Jabbawockeez ¡nos quitaron la mesa!. Al día siguiente fue el espectáculo. Escogimos uno muy apropiado para la ocasión, “Thunder from Down Under”. Un grupo de bailarines sexys Australianos. La verdad todas estábamos un poco nerviosas ya que no sabíamos que esperar. Nos toco tomarnos un shot para relajarnos, e igual así al mayoría estuvimos casi que tapándonos los ojos todo el tiempo (aclaración: ¡no hubo desnudos!).

Entre los restaurantes ricos que fuimos a comer estaban: TAO Asian Bistro, I Love Burgers, Mon Ami Gabi, Hakkasan, HEXX Kitchen & Bar entre otros, todos estaban deliciosos aunque algunos algo caritos…costaban un ojo de la cara, y la nariz y hasta media oreja.

Pero bueno la parte mas divertidas quizás fue el “scanveger hunt” que 2 amigas organizaron. En la lista habían 23 cosas en total que la novia tenia que cumplir con la ayuda de nosotras. Estas incluían: ir a apostar en las maquinistas, foto con la torre eiffel, foto con un M&M y hasta encontrar un chico con el mismo nombre del novio, ¡entre otros que es mejor no mencionar!

La pasamos super bacano y fue un fin de semana inolvidable para todas, pero en especial para la novia. Definitivamente hay que repetir Las Vegas, pero la próxima vez en pleno verano para poder disfrutar de sus muy famosas rumbas en las piscinas. No olviden, con un poco de creatividad y astucia todo se puede celebrar. Lo importante es estar con la gente que quieres y disfrutar esos momentos.
